Ric Schneider joined Abbott as Chief Procurement Officer in July 2014. He is responsible for the creation and execution of Abbott’s Global Procurement Vision which is the foundation for sourcing all of the products and services that drive the Abbott Promise- to serve people in their pursuit for healthy lives.

With 30 years of global supply chain experience, Ric leads his team in the creation of a flexible, superior supply community focused on “building category excellence” while “realizing shared potential” unlocking the possibility of performance driven through a relationship lens.

Prior to joining Abbott, Ric led the Global Procurement and External Manufacturing organizations at Starbucks. Ric’s background outside of global sourcing includes packaging, logistics, manufacturing, planning and engineering. He started his career with Miller Brewing and held multiple leadership roles within Operations and Supply Chain at Phillip Morris and Kraft Foods providing him with global experiences in business acquisitions.

Ric has a Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering from Milwaukee School of Engineering and an executive MBA from Northwestern.
