Dr. McKinney holds a Ph.D. in economics from Yale University.

He has worked at several major universities including Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, the University of Connecticut School of Business, Brandeis University and now Quinnipiac University.

Dr. McKinney has also worked at the White House Council of Economic Advisers and at the Rand Corporation.

Dr. McKinney was President and CEO of the Greater New England Minority Supplier Development Council from 2001 to 2015.

Dr. McKinney is a regular columnist for Diversity Plus Magazine and MBE Magazine.

He has published four books on supplier diversity and minority business development. He is also a partner in the economic consulting firm BJM Solutions, LLC.
