Air Travel
Travelers to the conference can fly into Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, usually called Detroit Metro Airport or simply DTW. Visit www.metroairport.com for more airport information.
Delta Airlines is the official airline of the conference. Delta is offering special discounted airfares for NMSDC Conference registrants, spouses and guests. To take advantage of these discounted savings, you or your travel agent must call the toll-free number listed below or book online and refer to the NMSDC meeting code. Frequent flyer program members are eligible for mileage credit and will receive full credit for miles flown.
Ground Transportation
Taxis
Taxis and luxury sedans are available 24/7 from each terminal’s (North Terminal and McNamara Terminal) ground transportation center, on Level 4. Upon arrival in Detroit, and once all checked luggage has been claimed, follow signs to Ground Transportation.
Taxi fares are based on traffic conditions. Average fare:

Public Transportation
The Detroit People Mover is a convenient light rail system that operates on an elevated track through the downtown business district. The loops has 13 stations, including Cobo Center, the Marriott Renaissance Center, with stops near several other hotels, restaurants and entertainment destinations. Fares are 75 cents per ride. The QLINE, a 6.6-mile circulating streetcar loop serving 13 locations on Woodward Ave. from Downtown Detroit through Midtown, New Center and the North End. |
